A new community‑led initiative is set to transform an unused space on Argyle Street into a vibrant, shared garden for everyone to enjoy.
Local residents are working in partnership with Renfrewshire Council, Paisley Housing Association, and Paisley West & Central Community Council to bring this vision to life. Together, they aim to create a welcoming green space that reflects the community’s pride, creativity, and commitment to a more sustainable future.
This project goes beyond gardening — it’s about building connections, enhancing wellbeing, and creating a place the whole neighbourhood can be proud of.
What the project will deliver
The proposed community garden will:
- Enable residents to grow their own fruit, vegetables, and plants
- Provide opportunities for children and families to learn about nature and sustainability
- Create a space for neighbours to meet, connect, and strengthen community ties
- Transform the street into a colourful, attractive environment with shared purpose
The landowners and partners are fully committed to developing the site and are now seeking funding and community support to help turn this vision into reality.
Together, we can create something meaningful for Paisley — a greener, more connected future for Argyle Street.
