Finance Assistant - permanent, full time position
EVH Grade 6, PA 17-20 Salary: £28,538 - £31,198
Paisley HA is an established registered social landlord, with charitable status, which provides good quality, affordable homes for rent and excellent customer service. Paisley HA has over 1,200 rented units and 280 factored properties, factored via the subsidiary Paisley South Property Services. The Finance Department is responsible for processing approximately £13m of income and expenditure annually, represented by in excess of 30,000 transactions each year.

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated individual to join our small finance team as a Finance Assistant, based at our new office in the centre of Paisley. The role involves supporting the Senior Finance Officer to provide the senior management team with the financial advice and information they need to assist in their successful delivery of our business goals.
Your role will include responsibility for the review & preparation of accurate & timely processing of a variety of financial transactions to the Finance & Housing Management Systems and via excel. This includes the processing of income, journal and payments; processing of all ledgers (purchase ledger, sales ledger and cashbook), insurance claim & petty cash; and analysis of nominal accounts.
You will have strong communication skills and proven experience of customer-focused delivery within a financial processing environment. You will be approachable and enthusiastic, with very strong people skills. Able to work collaboratively with a wide range of people, you will work both independently and closely within a team. With strong numeracy & IT skills, ideally including advanced expertise in Excel, and strong organisational skills, you will be able to cope with changing priorities, multiple tasks and tight deadlines, while ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
Prior experience in a finance position (minimum 3 years) and accounting software processing experience (minimum 2 years) is also a requirement.
