The ambitious refurbishment will boost housing options in the town centre, according to Paisley Housing Association.

The project, in partnership with Renfrewshire Council and funded by the Scottish Government, will rejuvenate the vacant tenement properties at 33 Causeyside Street and 3–9 Orchard Street.

The plan includes delivering 50 refurbished flats, resulting in more affordable housing to the area while preserving established local businesses.

Procast Group, a top retrofit contractor, was appointed to deliver the project earlier this year.

Currently in the first phase of works, the focus is on site clearances before retrofitting the properties.

The internal properties will receive new windows, doors, kitchens, and bathrooms.

There will also be external improvements including stone repairs, re-roofing, new close doors, and landscaped back courts.
