How Paisley Housing Association Works with the Scottish Housing Regulator (SHR)

At PHA, we want to make sure you have a safe, comfortable home and services you can rely on. To help ensure this, we are regulated by the Scottish Housing Regulator (SHR). The SHR is an independent organisation that checks how all social landlords in Scotland are run. This includes making sure we manage our finances properly, look after our homes, and provide good value for money. Understanding What the SHR Does

The SHR has updated it’s How We Regulate: A Guide for Tenants and Service Users. This guide explains what the Regulator does, how it checks landlords, what you should expect from your landlord, and how you can raise a serious concern if something goes wrong. You can read the guide by clicking on the web link here

The SHR has also created short videos, one explaining who they are and what they do and you can view this by clicking on the web link here

Raising a Serious Concern

If you ever feel that Paisley Housing Association is not meeting its responsibilities, the SHR provides clear information on how to raise a serious concern. Their factsheet for tenants explains what a serious concern is and how to report it. You can access the fact sheet by clicking on the web link here

You can download a form to complete by clicking here

You can also collect a paper copy of the form at our office reception.

SHR have created a short video on how to make a complaint or raise a serious concern about your social landlord which can be accessed by clicking on the web link here

A British Sign Language (BSL) version of this factsheet is being produced and will be here soon.

Other Regulators

Paisley Housing Association is also regulated by the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR), you can access the OSCR by clicking on the web link here

The OSCR oversees all charities in Scotland and helps ensure they operate openly and responsibly.
