Development of a Common Housing Allocation Policy for Renfrewshire
Paisley Housing Association together with Renfrewshire Council and three local housing associations, has developed a draft Common Housing Allocation Policy for Renfrewshire. This will provide a joint approach to allocating Council and Housing Association homes throughout Renfrewshire.
Together we are committed to providing high quality, affordable housing that meets peoples’ housing needs. The new proposed draft Common Housing Allocation Policy has been prepared to reflect the changes being introduced by the Housing (Scotland) Act 2014.
Your views on how we apply the new legislation and deliver our commitment to meet people’s housing needs within the policy are very important to us. We are therefore holding a two-part consultation process on our proposed draft Common Housing Allocation Policy.
Firstly, an online survey is being hosted on each partner landlord’s website. To allow us to fully consider your views, we would be pleased if you would take some time to complete the survey before 30th November 2018. To access the survey please go to www.renfrewshire.gov.uk/commonallocationpolicy
The proposed draft Common Housing Allocation Policy along with a summary version of the policy is available to help you complete the survey. Should you require this as a paper survey or in another format, please email email@example.com or phone: 0141 889 7105, the consultation period has been extended until the 7th December . If you haven’t already given your views please don’t delay.
Secondly, we are holding informal drop in events to provide opportunities for tenants, applicants, registered tenant’s associations and other interested parties to discuss our proposed policy as detailed below.
You are welcome to come to the event that is easiest for you to attend. These drop in events are being held in:
• Johnstone Town Hall on Tuesday 13th November between 11am and 2pm
• Paisley Town Hall on Wednesday 14th November between 4pm and 7pm
• Renfrew Town Hall on Thursday 15th November between 11am and 2pm
Following our consultation, we will be considering all responses carefully. Results of the consultation exercise will be published early in 2019.
